In one of our funniest interviews to date, we interview Marko Koncina who founded the Instagram and YouTube channel SWISSWATCHGANG. Marko’s journey starts from Slovenia, and his story of self-discovery through risk, hard work and tenacity will inspire many of you. Marko left his hometown at the age of 20, with nothing else but his dream of becoming a watchmaker. Passionate about independent watch brands, he turned his IG account into a platform to connect and nurture the younger generation and educate others about this niche. His ability to navigate life at a young age through reading and mentorship gives hope to many of us that we too can realise our deepest dreams if we just take the plunge.

We discuss how Shanghai Watch Gang grew from just a few people to become arguably China's most prominent watch collector group and touch upon how Asian collectors differ to their Western counterparts. We also talk about whether watch brands are fully equipped to connect with collectors and subsequently the establishment of the Shanghai Watch Festival.
